Tyler K. Somes is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office and focuses his practice on consumer protection, data privacy, whistleblower, civil rights, and antitrust matters.  

Mr. Somes received his Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University and Juris Doctor, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law. After graduating from law school, Mr. Somes worked at a prominent national law firm for several years, where he litigated complex antitrust, whistleblower, securities, and trade secrets matters.

During a one-year hiatus from his prior firm, Mr. Somes served as law clerk to the Honorable Richard Wesley of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Prior to law school, Mr. Somes worked as a union organizer for two separate local affiliates of the Service Employees International Union. With SEIU Pennsylvania he organized home care workers, nurses, and hospital employees. With the Committee of Interns and Residents, he organized trainee physician interns, residents, and fellows. He also previously worked as a paralegal for Legal Services NYC.

Mr. Somes is a member in good standing of the District of Columbia Bar.
