Court Approves $6.8 Million Data Privacy Settlement in Class Action Against Kiplinger’s

A federal court in Michigan has granted final approval to a $6.8 million settlement in a class action against Kiplinger Washington Editors, Inc. for allegedly disclosing the personal information of Kiplinger’s magazine subscribers to third parties in violation of Michigan law. Each of the approximately 17,413 class members will receive an automatic cash payment of approximately $250, without having to submit a claim form.
